Manushi chhillar is a beautiful Indian model/actress. Her journey from a medical student to  Miss World 2017 title winner is admirable and an inspiration to billions.With her cute smile and a golden heart she is surely become the next sweetheart of India.

Manushi chhillar was born on 14th May 1997 in Rohtak, Haryana, India and was later brought up at Bengaluru and Delhi. Her hometown is in “Bamnoli village” in Haryana’s Jhajjar district and came from the “Jat” caste. Her zodiac sign is Taurus. Currently she is 21 years old (as of June 2018).

The ravishing and brainy Manushi is 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. She weighs 54 kg with body measurements of 34-26-34.

Manushi comes from a family of doctors. Her father, Dr “Mitra Basu Chhillar”, is an endocrinologist at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) (lab under DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation).

And her mother “Dr. Neelam Chhillar” is an associate professor and department head of neuro-chemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi.

She has an elder sister “Dewangana Chhillar” and a younger brother “Dalmitra Chhillar”. Manushi’s aunt Dr “Usha Chhillar” is a professor of dermatology at BPS Government Medical College in Sonepat (Haryana) where Manushi pursued her MBBS.

Her father was placed in DRDO, Bengaluru when her mother gave birth to her in Rohtak, Haryana.
In 1999, when Manushi was two years old both her parents were relocated to Bengaluru. She spent five years of her childhood in Bengaluru and did her nursery to I standard schooling there.

At such small age, she started learning Classical Kuchupudi dance in Bengaluru. Later she learned the dance form under legendary dancers Raja Reddy and her two wife’s Radha Reddy & Kaushalya Reddy at Natya Tarangini at their institute ”Natya Tarangini” in Pushp Vihar, Saket.

In 2004, when she was 7 years old she moved to north Delhi with her parents and did her schooling from St Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School, Mandir Marg, Delhi till XII standard.

She scored 96% in Class XII board exams and was the all-India CBSE topper in English in Class XII.

“Miss India world 2014” “Koyal Rana” was her school senior in St Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School. They used to go in the same van to school. She judged the “Femina Miss India 2017” BWAP (Beauty with a Purpose) sub contest.

In 2015 she cracked the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) in her first attempt. Her AIPMT rank was “3710” with following scores:

For her graduation, she took admission in BPS (Bhagat Phool Singh) Government Medical College for Women, Sonepat, Haryana.

She was a 2rd year MBBS student there and an aspiring cardiac surgeon when she started to take part in beauty pageants competition in parallel to her hectic MBBS course schedule.

Participating in a beauty pageants was her childhood dream and she wanted to at least try it once, in her life.

After winning the Miss India title, Manushi took a break from her medical studies for one year to prepare for the Miss World pageant.
She will continue with her third year in next batch once her Miss World pageant duties are fulfilled.


1. DECEMBER 2016 – “Campus Princess 2017” Finalist:

In December 2016, auditions for fbb campus princess 2017 were held at AIIMS Delhi along with its culture festival – AIIMS “Pulse” 2016.
Manushi was crowned one of the finalists from AIIMS.

2. APRIL 2017 – Femina Miss India Haryana

“Femina Miss India North 2017” pageant competition was held on 16th April, 2017 at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi.
Contestants from 8 states of the north (M.P., U.P., H.P., J&K, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana) took part in the competition.

Manushi chhillar was amongst the three finalists from Haryana and was declared as the winner of “Femina Miss India-Haryana”.
She got a direct entry to the Grand Finale of “Femina Miss India 2017” in June.
She also won “Miss Photogenic” subtitle at “Miss India north 2017” competition.

3. JUNE 2017-“Femina Miss India 2017”

Femina Miss India 2017 (54th edition) beauty pageant was took pace over a period of one month and grand finale was held on 25th June 2017 at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai, India.

Manushi Chhillar was crowned “Miss India World 2017” by Femina “Miss India World 2016” Priyadarshini Chatterjee.
She also won the “Miss Photogenic” sub award in the competition.

4. Miss World 2017:

The 67th edition of the Miss World pageant was held on 18th November 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China.
Femina “Miss India world 2017”, Manushi Chhillar represented India at “Miss World 2017”.

She competed against 118 contestants from all over the world and won the coveted “Miss World 2017” title after a 17-years long drought.
She is the 6th Indian to win the “Miss World Title”:
