Jim Sarbh was born to a wealthy and well settled Parsi family in Mumbai. His father is a Regional Director of P&O Ports South and Middle East Asia and former master mariner. Jim’s mother is a retired physiotherapist. When Sarbh turned 3 years old, their family flew to Australia and came back to Mumbai after 5 years when he turned 8. Jim then attended the American School of Bombay in Mumbai after returning back. He pursued his undergraduate degree in psychology and completed it from Emory University in United States of America. At present, Jim lives in Versova, well known in Mumbai.

Being an Indian film and stage actor, Jim is best known for his supporting work in the industry. Jim made his feature film debut in R. Madhavani’s “Neerja” alongside Sonam Kapoor Also Appearing in many big budget blockbuster movies, Jim really shone out in his portrayal of the role of ‘Malik Kafur’ (Allahundin Khilji’s apprentice and love interest) in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Drama “Padmaavat” and also playing Sanjay Dutt’s Junky Friend in his Biopic “Sanju”. Jim is also the recipient of a Screen Award, an International Indian Film Academy Award and two Filmfare nominations. Not only acting, Jim has also shown versatility in directing many theatre productions in India. Jim is set to appear next in Bejoy Nambiar’s next film titled Taish alongside Fukrey fame Pulkit samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Neha Sharma and Harshvardhan Rane. Taish meaning Rage, is set to be a revenge drama and also hopefully a booster for Jim’s career.
